Sipping On: Espresso Martini
Watching: Elementary (CBS Show)
It feels like ages since I’ve done a Time to Steep…let’s be honest, it has been ages. Who am I trying to fool?!? But I must say, I have been waiting to do this specific review since December. Why the wait? Well…
Sipping on: DAVIDsTEA Vanilla Matcha while transitioning over to Tension Tamer
Watching: Sleeping Beauty (“I know what you’ll do, you love me at once. They way you did once upon a dream.”)
It’s about time to do my Celestial adoration post! Companies that I admire and that I have had positive interactions with, deserve some attention. Celestial is hands down one of those companies for me. I can honestly say there is nothing better then when you tag a company in something, and they read/interact back with you. Celestial is one of those companies! They have retweeted some of my posts, enjoyed some of my pictures, and I have even recently won a contest through them!
Steep Theme: TJ Maxx – Holiday Time Tea Selection
Listening to: Acoustic Christmas (Spotify Playlist)
Sipping on: Bigelow Peppermint
Something I love/hate about the holidays: the enormous selection of items that appear EVERYWHERE, especially at TJ Maxx (and company). I call it a love/hate because as much as I love that there is more selection, I hate that it’s not there the rest of the year. There is nothing worse than the plague that hits at the end of winter period, right before the stock switches over to spring…just dreadful.
There is nothing like your first…..first DAVIDsTEA post that is!
To say that I love DAVIDsTEA is an understatements. It’s a brand I tell everyone to try, and I don’t usually go a day without drinking at least one cup. I must admit, my secret dream is to own everyone single tea, proudly display them in my future home, and then causally offer up my selection when guests come over. It will truly be a fantastic day. Okay, just needed to get that off my chest so you have a better idea of what my obsession level is. Anyway…DAVIDsTEA 100% deserves to have some love shinned on them, but I want to save my praises and admiration for another post. Why might you ask am I doing that for? Well, honestly…this is going to be quite the long post all on its own! Any more words would probably be unbearable to read, as I am already well beyond what a sane person would write.
The reason for the long post: MY HOLIDAY/WINTER TEA REVIEW!
Tis’ the Season – Celestial Seasonal Favorites (or Holiday Teas)
It’s always joyous trying seasonal products. Sure they might not always taste great or be what you expected, but the excitement of just trying is worth while! I think everyone can agree that there are no better seasonal flavors than Holiday/Winter ones. Today, I wanted to review Celestial Seasonal Favorites to kick off this holiday season!
Steep Theme: Peppermint Tea
Sipping on: DAVIDsTEA Forever Nuts Latte (Skim Milk)
Listening to: Santa Tell Me by Ariana Grande
I could not go much further into tea reviews without doing something on Peppermint Tea. Without a doubt, Peppermint tea is the ONE tea I repurchase constantly, to the point where I usually have at least two boxes on hand, always. While yes, I enjoy the taste immensely and there is nothing quite like its ability to warm you up with its cooling and refreshing flavor. I drink peppermint tea for one other huge reason – my stomach. I drink 2-3 cups a day to help with digestion. 100% honesty: I have a weak stomach that seems to be sensitive to what feels like everything at points and discomfort always seems to happen at the most inconvenient times. Stomach problems are rarely talked about because people are usually embarrassed, but I want to change that! My issues don’t bother me like they use to – it makes me who I am. It is a constant struggle that does require me to be aware of the things I eat, especially when I out. Overtime, I have found that the one item that helps soothe my aches, help with post-digestion and just generally makes me feel better. This item is…..peppermint tea.
Steep Theme: Warm & Cozy
Sipping on: DAVIDsTEA Hot Chocolate w/ agave & Trader Joe’s Eggnog
Listening to: Only You by Kylie Minogue with James Corden (Original by Yazoo)
Sugar, spice and all things nice….perfect theme for the day! As we begin to embrace these colder months (well at least for some of us), there is nothing quite like snuggling up with a warm drink. Especially if that drink is the embodiment of the holiday spirit! Currently, I have 4 box teas in my possession that fit this description AND that I have been enjoying.
I’m fearless when trying new teas. I like to give everything at least one chance, even if I THINK I wouldn’t like it. (Words of Wisdom: Ingredients play off each other. Together they make up a recipe, not individually. Don’t make haste decisions until you see the full picture…works for tea and in real life. You’re welcome.) I have heard countless bloggers & vloggers rave about this UK company teapigs, and more specifically its Liquorice and Mint tea. The list was never ending: “unlike anything you’ve ever tried”, “satisfied your sweet tooth in the best possible way”, and “after my first cup, I was addicted.” Sounds like the cup of tea I wanted to be sipping on.
