Sipping On: Espresso Martini
Watching: Elementary (CBS Show)
It feels like ages since I’ve done a Time to Steep…let’s be honest, it has been ages. Who am I trying to fool?!? But I must say, I have been waiting to do this specific review since December. Why the wait? Well…
Due to the extremely cold weather over the past weekend, my ideal notion of spending Saturday in the city was quickly shattered. Since I knew we could only handle 10 minute intervals outside, we chose to arrive later (closer to show time). I always get excited going to New York because that means I get to take the train – but specifically, the train into Grand Central. Sorry Penn Station, but you will never be any real competition to Grand.
Time for part 2 of my tea adventure! Originally, I thought I could combine all of this into one post…but no. It would have been way too much (and quite honestly Tea 101 is probably already too long). Find part 1 here.
PS Sorry for the hand-drawn sketches – my camera is officially broken and is going back to the motherland
Recently I was reunited with my best friend from high school (Hi Sammy if you are reading)! We went out for a lovely dinner, and then drove back to my place for a much needed Gilmore Girls/Best Friend session. Plus, I also wanted her to try some of my loose leaves that I have!
Everyday we make assumptions, and it so hard to break that cycle sometimes. Things that are routine for us, can be completely foreign to others. This was the case when I asked Sam which tea she wanted to try. The moment I popped the question, she looked up at me: confused, overwhelmed, and clueless. I realized, then and there, that we had to do a Tea 101. And I must say, after doing it, I realized how much I loved it! It’s so exciting to share one of your passions with someone.
Sipping on: DAVIDsTEA Vanilla Matcha while transitioning over to Tension Tamer
Watching: Sleeping Beauty (“I know what you’ll do, you love me at once. They way you did once upon a dream.”)
It’s about time to do my Celestial adoration post! Companies that I admire and that I have had positive interactions with, deserve some attention. Celestial is hands down one of those companies for me. I can honestly say there is nothing better then when you tag a company in something, and they read/interact back with you. Celestial is one of those companies! They have retweeted some of my posts, enjoyed some of my pictures, and I have even recently won a contest through them!
With the start of the new year always comes Best of 2015 videos/posts! I personally adore them. I love hearing about everything people liked over the past year. It so much fun to see if anyone liked the same things you did, and if they didn’t, you get to see new things to try.
Sipping on: Peppermint Tea
Watching: Cinderella (Live Action)
With at least 6 people in the office sick and a boyfriend with strep going into Christmas week, I was doing everything humanly possible to not join this elite group. I thought I was in the clear…until I awoke on Christmas morning. I know when I am getting a cold – it starts with the body aches and then the throat. To say it is beyond upsetting to be sick over the holidays in an understatement, especially when you have the next upcoming week off from work. Long story short, and a week later, I am finally starting to enter the tail-end of my sickness.
I decided to start doing a Sip/Tea of the Month and share which tea I have been enjoying the most. Let me say that December is not an easy month to start with – there are so many seasonal teas in the competition!
After thinking about ALL the cups I have drank in the past month (and trust me this is an extremely large number), it finally occurred to me which tea shines in the spotlight! Drumroll please……. DAVIDsTEA Mint Matcha!
Yes. Parsley is in the background, not mint. But hey, at least it’s green!
Steep Theme: TJ Maxx – Holiday Time Tea Selection
Listening to: Acoustic Christmas (Spotify Playlist)
Sipping on: Bigelow Peppermint
Something I love/hate about the holidays: the enormous selection of items that appear EVERYWHERE, especially at TJ Maxx (and company). I call it a love/hate because as much as I love that there is more selection, I hate that it’s not there the rest of the year. There is nothing worse than the plague that hits at the end of winter period, right before the stock switches over to spring…just dreadful.
There is nothing like your first…..first DAVIDsTEA post that is!
To say that I love DAVIDsTEA is an understatements. It’s a brand I tell everyone to try, and I don’t usually go a day without drinking at least one cup. I must admit, my secret dream is to own everyone single tea, proudly display them in my future home, and then causally offer up my selection when guests come over. It will truly be a fantastic day. Okay, just needed to get that off my chest so you have a better idea of what my obsession level is. Anyway…DAVIDsTEA 100% deserves to have some love shinned on them, but I want to save my praises and admiration for another post. Why might you ask am I doing that for? Well, honestly…this is going to be quite the long post all on its own! Any more words would probably be unbearable to read, as I am already well beyond what a sane person would write.
The reason for the long post: MY HOLIDAY/WINTER TEA REVIEW!
