“Hi. My name is Stephanie, and I am tea obsessed.” Just had to get that weight off my chest before I continued…

I have come to the decision that I MUST do tea reviews. 100% Disclosure: I am by no means a tea expert. I do not have any special training or knowledge on this field. I am just one of many people with a tea addiction, and that’s how I will approach all my reviews.

While I am the first to admit that there is nothing quite like loose-leaf tea (yes, after a while you can actually start to taste the paper in grocery store tea bags), sometimes you just are not always able to enjoy a nice cuppa. For YEARS now, I am tried to research store bought tea bags to determine which were tasteful, flavorful/less etc., and I’ve basically turned up with nothing… Amazingly, people don’t set out to review these things – it’s time to change that!

Let me share:  At any given moment, I own at least 30+ boxed teas & at least that in loose leaf. My goal is to review everything I currently have, back-fill whenever possible, and continue to explore the plethora of tea varieties that exist out there.

Some items to note:

Tea Types (if you’re new to tea)

  • White – Mild, subtle, delicate
  • Green – Smooth, fresh, delicate
  • Black – Bold, hearty, slightly bitter
  • Mate – Bold, slightly bitter, grassy
  • Oolong – Delicate, earthy, sweet
  • Pu’erh – Earthy, rich, intense
  • Rooibos – Sweet, nutty (decaffeinated)
  • Herbal – Flavors vary (decaffeinated)
